The Beer Bottle Tracker digitally counts the number of time you use the bottle opener to open a bottle of beer. You can keep track of how many beers you have in a night or at o party also you can use it as a group and let everyone at your party use it to count exactly how much drink is consumed on a particular party night.
It can be used as a novelty gift or help people to keep track and control over their drinking.
I definitely think this could be used to control drinking, but on the flip side, it could be used as a high-score recorder. Every night, you gotta drink more beers to beat the number :)
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness though, something like this could help a lot of people out in a lot of ways, and I believe a way to let people know just how much they're drinking, or have drank, is a great way to encourage themselves to throttle their need to drink hard.
This is great because the main cause of people going too far is not knowing the one that was one too many.
ReplyDeleteYa it's a good way of recording how many drinks you had, can you reset it after one night or does it keep counting, it could be made look a bit nicer though, and maybe smaller if you were going to bring it out with you.
ReplyDeleteIs that a speaker in the bottom ? As linda said i think it could be designed smaller, and less gimicky looking and then would be more likely to help people
ReplyDeleteA speaker could conceivably help with controlling drink as its announcing to the room what number your on .... but again as Mitchell pointed out could just be abused as a high score indicator
With an additionally integrated per mil measurement sensor, you could make a really fun drink efficiency game out of this :) howver, the benefit of the device to promote drink awareness would probalby be kind of lost then..
